“These images explore how the body is a repository for experience, and how there is strength in the ways we carry the weight of our memories. The interactions between the natural world and the subjects' bodies represent the blurred line between what is happening around us and within us. These exchanges are cyclical, much like our relationship with memory and thought.”

“I am drawn to photography as a medium for various reasons, one being how it allows me to abstract the world around me and see it in a way that is different from our subjective reality. I particularly appreciate black and white imagery due to it being a further step away from reality. This also offers the viewer room to consider what the image can mean as separate from strictly what the image captures. Photography allows me to preserve thoughts and feelings and reconsider my perception of the world.”
