The Mountain Goat Journal accepts submissions on a rolling basis. We publish works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art from current Sewanee students.

For writers—

• Please submit your work as a Word document to mountaingoat@sewanee.edu

• Your document should be in 12 point, double-spaced, serif font. For fiction and nonfiction authors, please note that while there is no length requirement or limit, pieces under 20 pages are most likely to be accepted

• You should include in the subject heading of your message: your last name, the name of the section to which you are submitting, and the month in which you are submitting (e.g., “SMITH—Poetry—September”)

For visual artists—

• Please submit your work as a PNG to mountaingoat@sewanee.edu

• You should include in the subject heading of your message: your last name, the name of the section to which you are submitting, and the month in which you are submitting (e.g., “SMITH—Visual Art—September”). In the body of your message, please provide the title, date, and medium of each piece.
